Hi, my name is Briahna Ivie. I don’t really have much astronomy experience besides just looking up into the night sky and stargazing. My major is early childhood education. I hope to become a preschool or kindergarten teacher. I chose this major because I’ve always wanted to be involved with kids for work, and I would love to be able to kickstart their education. Many teachers these days don’t care enough to actually teach, but I want to change that and make a change in children’s lives.
By being in this class, I hope to be able to know a little bit more about the universe and the way it works. I’m really taking this class as an elective, but I do hope to get something out of it and know a little bit more. One thing that really fascinates me about astronomy is the stars and the galaxies. They are so beautiful and so amazing to see and look at. Every time I’m outside at night, I look up at the stars. I love looking at the sky and looking into the universe (even though I can’t see everything).
